Further discussion
The question I ask myself is, why, if David was a man after Gods own heart, did God endorse David's murder of Uriah and the theft of his beautiful bride? David lusted afterBathsheba, having observed her naked, and then after allowing her to mourn her husband, David took her to himself, and the fruit of their procreative activities, was none other than Solomon, the Wisest and Richest of all God's kings. If God was the author of monogamy David is the counter argument. Before we go further I should state that I have an extensive theological background and I am an ordained, though not practising minister. In a previous incarnation I felt I had the answer to my own question. However, now I'm not willing to give God the benefit of the doubt, for those things for which, He could have left a reasonable explanation.
